What RW says
A short story packed with Gothic menace.
The legend of a murdered girl and visions of her ghost on a mist-shrouded island takes Samuel through a shipwreck to an emotional conclusion as the world goes into economic meltdown. Written before the financial crisis, but predicting it as the counterpoint to a heart wrenching love story; the reflection of another from many years ago.
What the Readers Say
"Robert tirelessly strives to set a standard of well written English in a world that has become increasingly slovenly in print. The September Affair is a perfect example of his craft. It intrigues the reader as it builds the narrative, and misdirects them about the direction that the tale is heading. It is a story suitable for young adults and old romantics. I thoroughly recommend it."
